An Act to prohibit the expenditure of certain funds appropriated for purposes related to the construction of a prison facility. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota: Section 1. [ADDED: No money may be expended and no action may be taken requiring the expenditure of moneys appropriated by 2023 Session Laws, chapter 195, §§ 2 to 4, inclusive, or 2024 Session Laws, chapter 224, §§ 2 and 3, until a final recommendation is issued by the Incarceration Task Force, as established in 2025 Senate Bill 124, enacted by the One Hundredth Legislature. Any money expended following the issuance of the final recommendation may be only for a purpose and in a manner prescribed by the task force in its final recommendation.] Underscores indicate new language.
