89(2) HR 39 - Enrolled version - Bill Text H.R. No. 39 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The family and friends of Jane Marie Hunt of Dallas suffered a heartbreaking loss with the passing of this beloved young girl on July 4, 2025, at the age of nine; and WHEREAS, Born in Dallas on May 8, 2016, Janie Hunt was the cherished daughter of Davin and Anne Lindsey Hunt and the older sister of two siblings, Henry and Julia; she was further surrounded by the love of her adoring grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and she was known for inventing new traditions to share with her family during the holidays; and WHEREAS, Janie was a top student at The Day School at Highland Park Pres and Hyer Elementary School, where she excelled in mathematics and art and showcased her athletic talents on the basketball team; she dreamed of one day becoming a professional artist, and in addition to several other awards, she was proud that one of her works was the sole selection from her class for the Highland Park Independent School District 2025 Art Show; she also expressed herself by performing in ballet recitals, and she lit up the stage with her portrayal of Scuttle in a production ofThe Little Mermaidin 2024; moreover, she enjoyed being a member of the Girl Scouts, …
