89(2) HR 45 - Enrolled version - Bill Text H.R. No. 45 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Members of American Legion Post No. 667 in Universal City are gathering together on September 20, 2025, to celebrate the post's 50th anniversary; and WHEREAS, The American Legion has built a proud tradition of serving military personnel, families, and communities throughout the country; with more than 1.6 million members, the organization is a leading advocate for veterans and active duty service members; in addition, it provides vital support for the U.S. armed forces and strives to instill the values of responsible citizenship among young people; and WHEREAS, First chartered in 1975, Post No. 667 has furthered the mission of the American Legion through its dedicated work in northeastern Bexar County; the group's wide-ranging initiatives have made a positive difference in the lives of area veterans while focusing public attention on the heritage and achievements of the United States military; and WHEREAS, The members of Universal City Post No. 667 have contributed to the exceptional legacy of the American Legion, and they are performing a valuable service through their ongoing efforts to benefit their community and all those who have valiantly served our nation in the armed forces; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby …
