89(2) HR 78 - Enrolled version - Bill Text H.R. No. 78 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Andrew Molly is concluding his service as chief operating officer of Corpus Christi Water on September 3, 2025; and WHEREAS, Drew Molly first joined the City of Corpus Christi as its director of water systems and support services in September 2022, and after a stint as interim COO, he was officially appointed to the role in January 2024; he has held the position during a time when the city has grappled with major water issues, which have required it to enforce the strictest water conservation measures it has seen in decades; and WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure, he has helped lead the department with a focus on transparency, overseeing the launch of an online platform for viewing water usage data as well as the implementation of a new cost-of-service model designed to make water rates more equitable; with a forward-looking approach to managing water resources in Corpus Christi, he adopted a long-term strategy centered on securing new groundwater supplies, expanding the use of reclaimed water, and exploring innovative solutions for ensuring the availability of water in the future; along the way, he has worked to strengthen regional collaboration, and he has engaged with Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas House Committee on Natural Resources to bring in …
