89(2) HR 106 - Enrolled version - Bill Text H.R. No. 106 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the passing of Linda Joyce Cox on July 21, 2025, at the age of 74; and WHEREAS, Affectionately known as "Tilt," the former Linda Murphree was born to Dale Allen and Jimmy L. Murphree in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on November 9, 1950, and she grew up with the companionship of two siblings, Nancy and Jim; and WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, she benefited from the love and support of her husband, Lucky, and she took great pride in her children, Nick, Dawnn, and Dillon; over the years, she had the pleasure of welcoming into her family six grandchildren; and WHEREAS, A passionate community advocate, Mrs. Cox made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless children, families, and other individuals in need through her contributions to Tilt's Toy Run, Wishing on the Lone Star, and the Special Needs Prom; she also organized a number of other local events, and she helped collect and distribute donations for people experiencing homelessness; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Cox enjoyed traveling the open road on her Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and she shared lifelong bonds with a close-knit community of bikers; in addition, she operated a booth at the Texas State Fair; and WHEREAS, Admired …
