89(2) HR 129 - Enrolled version - Bill Text H.R. No. 129 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the profound sense of sorrow felt by the family and friends of Abby Lynn Pohl of Austin, who was tragically lost in the July 4, 2025, flooding in Kerr County; and WHEREAS, The daughter of Kristin and Matthew Pohl, Abby Pohl was born on December 20, 2016; she was baptized at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd and drew strength from her faith throughout her life; the youngest member of her family, she shared a deep bond with her older sisters, Hannah and Reese, and she also benefited from the support of her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and WHEREAS, Sweet and compassionate and possessing an engaging sense of humor, Abby filled every room with energy and laughter; she made friends easily and frequently hosted and attended sleepover get-togethers; passionate about dance, she took part in recitals as well as informal parties and performances with her sisters and friends, and her love of music was further demonstrated through her singing and the many hours she spent listening to Taylor Swift; and WHEREAS, Abby competed in soccer, basketball, tennis, and golf, and she honed her skills in the latter two sports through weekend practice sessions with her father; she enjoyed spending time …
