89(2) HR 151 - Enrolled version - Bill Text H.R. No. 151 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The Rotary Club of Killeen Heights is celebrating 40 years of service to the community in 2025; and WHEREAS, In 1985, members of the Rotary Club of Killeen initiated the formation of a second Rotary chapter in their area, choosing the name Killeen Heights to represent the members' ties to both Killeen and Harker Heights; on July 27, the club formally received its charter, with a founding group of 34 business and professional leaders; and WHEREAS, Over the past four decades, the Rotary Club of Killeen Heights has embodied the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self" through its efforts to better the lives of Central Texans in need; the club strives to advance Rotary International's key humanitarian priorities, which include peace and conflict resolution, disease prevention, maternal and child health, environmental conservation, and economic development, and every year, members undertake a well-rounded program of activities that make a meaningful impact both at home and abroad; and WHEREAS, The Rotary Club of Killeen Heights has long been a force for good in its community and beyond, and through their generosity and dedication to their organization's ideals, its members have set an outstanding example to which all may aspire; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of …
