89(2) HR 146 - Enrolled version - Bill Text H.R. No. 146 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Texas Dance Day is taking place on April 8, 2026, providing a fitting opportunity to celebrate the important role that dance plays in the cultural vitality of the Lone Star State; and WHEREAS, Texas is home to a vibrant community of dancers, choreographers, instructors, dance companies, and students; these talented individuals bring the art of dance to studios and stages across the state, and through their work, they have captivated and inspired audiences near and far; and WHEREAS, There are ample opportunities to appreciate this powerful form of creative expression, from performances by dance companies such as the Houston Ballet, Ballet Austin, Texas Ballet Theater, and Corpus Christi Ballet, to shows by local schools and youth ensembles; opportunities to participate in dance are also widespread, and by pursuing their passion for the artform, people of all ages and backgrounds are able to showcase their strength, discipline, grace, and focus, while also building confidence; and WHEREAS, The art of dance has long served as an important means of entertainment and cultural enrichment, and it is a pleasure to join in applauding Texas dancers on this special occasion; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby recognize …
