89(2) HR 157 - Enrolled version - Bill Text H.R. No. 157 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service drew to a close with the passing of former state representative Jodie Anne Laubenberg on September 1, 2025, at the age of 68; and WHEREAS, A sixth-generation Texan, Jodie Laubenberg was born on April 20, 1957; she graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, and she worked in the computer industry before concluding her career to focus on her home and family; she shared a rewarding marriage with her husband, Bob Laubenberg, and she was a devoted mother to their two children, David and Liz; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Laubenberg gained experience in public service as a member of the Parker City Council, and in 2002, she was elected to the first of eight terms in the Texas House of Representatives; over the course of her exemplary tenure, she ably represented House District 89, and she distinguished herself through her membership on numerous legislative committees, including more than a decade of service on the Public Health Committee, which she chaired during the 78th and 80th Legislatures; she also served as chair of the Elections Committee during the 84th and 85th Legislatures, and she completed multiple assignments with the Texas Environmental Flows Advisory Group and the committees on Judiciary and …
