A BILL 27 TO BE ENTITLED 28 AN ACT Page HB419 INTRODUCED 29 30 Relating to insurance; to amend Section 8-32-3, Code of 31 Alabama 1975; to require all service contract provider 32 registration fees to be paid into the State Treasury to the 33 credit of the Special Examination Revolving Fund in lieu of 34 the Service Contract Revolving Fund; to clarify any service 35 contract provider registration fee adjustment is in accordance 36 with changes in the Consumer Price Index under existing law; to require any unencumbered and unexpended balance remaining 38 in the Service Contract Revolving Fund to be transferred to 39 the credit of the Special Examination Revolving Fund; and to 40 amend Sections 8-32-1 and 8-32-5, Code of Alabama 1975, to 41 make conforming changes. 42 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: 43 Section 1. Section 8-32-3, Code of Alabama 1975, is 44 amended to read as follows: 45 "§8-32-3 46 (a) Either the provider or its designee shall: 47 (1) Provide a receipt for, or other written evidence 48 of, the purchase of the service contract to the contract 49 holder. 50 (2) Provide a copy of the service contract to the 51 service contract holder within a reasonable period of time 52 from the date of purchase. 53 (b) A provider …
