An Act, CONGRATULATING THE BISHOP STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM FOR WINNING THE 2026 ALABAMA COMMUNITY COLLEGE CONFERENCE DIVISION I CHAMPIONSHIP. WHEREAS, the Bishop State Community College Men's Basketball Team, the Wildcats, captured the first Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Division I Championship in program history on March 14, 2026, by defeating Shelton State Community College with a final score of 71-68; and WHEREAS, with the historic victory, the Wildcats have earned an automatic berth to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas, representing the South District; and WHEREAS, the Wildcats finished the conference tournament with a resilient 17-15 record, overcoming adversity and a young roster to secure their spot at the top of the conference; and WHEREAS, the victory marks the program's second championship game appearance in the past three years and its first ACCC title during that span, signaling the continued growth of the Wildcats' basketball program; and WHEREAS, the talented athletes on the Bishop State Men's Basketball Team are Zion Mitchell, Kaymen Brown, Vophcy Prophete, Tahsheim Gary, Jeremiah Sem, Jason Noumbissi, Tramello Carter, Patrick Olajuwon, Jacob Feagin, Maylon Martes, Nathadeus Fambro, and Keiman Franklin; and Page Maylon Martes, Nathadeus Fambro, and Keiman Franklin; and HJR269 Enrolled WHEREAS, under the expert leadership and guidance of Head Coach and Athletic Director …
