GRUBER ON 50 YEARS 5 OF SERVICE TO BALDWIN COUNTY. 6 7 WHEREAS, Commissioner Charles F. "Skip" Gruber is a 8 third-generation member of the Baldwin County community, born in the unincorporated Battles Wharf community in 1950 10 and currently residing in the Town of Elberta; and 11 WHEREAS, Commissioner Gruber served with distinction 12 as the former Mayor of Elberta from 1994 to 2006, and served 13 as a former member of the Town Council of Elberta from 1979 14 to 1994; he is a graduate of Foley High School, Class of 15 1968, and served 25 years in the United States Army Reserve 16 and National Guard; and 17 WHEREAS, a stalwart advocate for Baldwin County, 18 Commissioner Gruber is a former 30-year employee of the 19 Baldwin County Commission; he served as a supervisor for 20 North, Central, and South Baldwin County Highway Department 21 facilities as well as a Project Coordinator for the Baldwin 22 County Highway Department providing oversight to a myriad of 23 projects; further, he served as a Project Coordinator during 24 the time …
