Scott By: Representative Ennett SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION TO RECOGNIZE THE MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH SCHOOL COMETS BOYS' BASKETBALL TEAM AS THE CLASS 4A STATE CHAMPIONS. Subtitle TO RECOGNIZE THE MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH SCHOOL COMETS BOYS' BASKETBALL TEAM AS THE CLASS 4A STATE CHAMPIONS. WHEREAS, the Mills University Studies High School Comets boys' basketball team won the 2025 Class 4A state championship after defeating the Morrilton Devil Dogs by a score of fifty-six to fifty-one points (56-51) on March 14, 2025, at Bank OZK Arena in Hot Springs; and WHEREAS, the Comets finished the 2024-2025 season with thirty-five wins and one loss (35-1); and WHEREAS, Comets team members are Marshall Walls, Milan McDaniel, Joseph Bell, Zaylin Rowland, Zaylan Elliott, Vance Cunningham, Anthony Hester, Xavier Simpson, Jeremiah Lattimore, Gabriel Davis, Chauncey Haynes, Anthony Deshazer, Mazihyah Curry, and Tyson Thompson; and WHEREAS, forward Anthony Hester suffered a shocking fall in the third quarter of the championship game which stopped the game for several minutes, but he recovered to lead a pivotal rally in the fourth quarter, helping power the Comets to their win; and *ADF176* 03/20/2025 10:23:37 AM ADF176 SCR7 WHEREAS, team member Zaylin Rowland was named the Class 4A Most Valuable Player; and WHEREAS, team member Marshall Walls …
