Petty SENATE RESOLUTION TO RECOGNIZE THE VAN BUREN HIGH SCHOOL POINTERS WRESTLING TEAM AS THE 2025-2026 CLASS 5A DUAL AND TEAM STATE CHAMPIONS AND THE LADY POINTERS WRESTLING TEAM AS BACK-TO-BACK CLASS 5A STATE RUNNERS-UP. Subtitle TO RECOGNIZE THE VAN BUREN HIGH SCHOOL POINTERS WRESTLING TEAM AS THE 2025-2026 CLASS 5A DUAL AND TEAM STATE CHAMPIONS AND THE LADY POINTERS WRESTLING TEAM AS BACK-TO-BACK CLASS 5A STATE RUNNERS-UP. WHEREAS, the Van Buren High School Pointers wrestling team won the 2025-2026 Class 5A state championship as part of the Arkansas State Wrestling Tournament held on February 14, 2026, at Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, besting the Lake Hamilton Wrestling Wolves by a SR33 WHEREAS, the Pointers wrestling team was led by fifteen-year-old undefeated freshman Peyton Boston, who won the Class 5A one-hundred-twentysix-pound class state championship title and was also named Outstanding Wrestler for the lower weight class at the tournament; and WHEREAS, the Pointers wrestling team qualified in eleven (11) out of the fourteen (14) weight classes for the tournament, and ten (10) out of those eleven (11) finished in the top four (4) of their classes; and WHEREAS, additional team members placing were: (1) Sophomore Carson Camera, third place in the one-hundred-sixpound class; (2) Senior …
