AN ACT DESIGNATING THE STATE AMPHIBIAN, THE CITY OF NEW BRITAIN AS THE HOT DOG CAPITAL AND THE TOWN OF ENFIELD AS THE GATEWAY TO CONNECTICUT. Assembly convened: Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2025) The spring peeper, Pseudacris crucifer, shall be the state amphibian. Sec. 2. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2025) The city of New Britain shall be known as the hot dog capital of the state. Sec. 3. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2025) The town of Enfield shall be known as the gateway to Connecticut. This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: Section 1 October 1, 2025 New section Sec. 2 October 1, 2025 New section Sec. 3 October 1, 2025 New section LCO No. 6194 1 of Raised Bill No. 7225 Statement of Purpose: To designate the state amphibian, the city of New Britain as the hot dog capital and the town of Enfield as the gateway to Connecticut.
