Bush, Carson, Collins, Gray, Shupe, Yearick DELAWARE STATE SENATE 153rd GENERAL ASSEMBLY SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 200 DESIGNATING JULY 2026 AS "AMERICAN PATRIOTISM MONTH" IN THE STATE OF DELAWARE. WHEREAS, American Patriotism Month provides an opportunity to honor and reflect on the contributions, achievements, and enduring ideals that have shaped the United States of America; and WHEREAS, the month encourages civic engagement and helps educate future generations about the values, struggles, and milestones that define the American experience; and WHEREAS, the courage and sacrifice of many individuals, including military personnel, civil rights leaders, public servants, and everyday citizens, have contributed to the nation's progress; and WHEREAS, the American Revolution marked the founding of a nation built on principles of liberty, representative government, and self-determination; and WHEREAS, the U.S. Constitution, adopted in 1787, established a representative government grounded in federalism, checks and balances, and separation of powers that continues to guide our nation; and WHEREAS, the Bill of Rights, ratified in 1791, enshrined civil liberties and protections that remain fundamental to American life; and WHEREAS, the American Civil War tested the nation's unity and commitment to equality, ultimately leading to the abolition of slavery and the expansion of civil rights; and WHEREAS, the establishment of the …
