A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Elise Johnson; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, Elise Johnson, a 2026 Showtime Pros Cotillion debutante, is the accomplished eldest daughter of Mr. and Ms. Johnson; and WHEREAS, through her participation in the 2026 Showtime Pros Cotillion debutante program, Elise has been supported and encouraged to grow in strength, character, confidence, and purpose; and WHEREAS, she is a senior attending Dutchtown High School and attends Clayton State University, where she is enrolled in dual enrollment courses; and WHEREAS, outside of school, Elise enjoys working as a host and food runner at Miyako Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi, volunteering at Atlanta's city preservation events, and drawing; and WHEREAS, each debutante completed a minimum of 10 hours of community service and maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.9; and H. R. 1577 LC 129 1309 WHEREAS, throughout the program, the young women participated in transformative workshops and experiences designed to challenge and inspire them; and WHEREAS, a defining moment of the season was their visit to the Georgia State Capitol, where they were recognized during the legislative session and had the opportunity to speak on issues important to them-demonstrating that their voices matter and their purpose is already in action; and WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this outstanding young woman be appropriately honored.
