A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending Judi Carlson for receiving the 2026 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, in 1999, Representative Nikki T. Randall became the first African American female elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia, and over her 17 years of service as a legislator, she held numerous leadership positions, including chair of the Georgia Women's Legislative Caucus; and WHEREAS, every year during Women's History Month, the Georgia Women's Legislative Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify the leadership and inspiration embodied by Representative Randall; and WHEREAS, Judi Carlson is a woman of unassuming greatness whose humble acts of kindness and generosity have uplifted her entire community; and WHEREAS, Judi serves as the Director of Malachi's Storehouse, a food pantry and clothing closet that is an outreach ministry of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Dunwoody, Georgia; and H. R. 1646 LC 129 1356 WHEREAS, having passionately served as director for over 10 years, Judi led the food pantry through the COVID-19 pandemic without a single week of shutdown; and WHEREAS, she has established a glowing reputation of renown throughout Georgia for her unwavering commitment to service and a deep personal desire to create spaces where everyone is welcome, everyone is valued, and everyone is fed; and WHEREAS, under her leadership, …
