A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Brother LaDray Brandan Gilbert, J.D.; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the passing of an outstanding citizen, legal professional, and devoted man of faith, Brother LaDray Brandan Gilbert, J.D., who was called from labor to reward on February 26, 2026; and WHEREAS, born on November 26, 1981, to the late Mr. Johnnie and Mrs. Carnell Gilbert, LaDray was a proud native of Jackson County, Florida, and a cherished resident of Atlanta, Georgia, whose presence left an indelible mark on his community; and WHEREAS, a man of profound intellect and dedication, he earned his Juris Doctor and was a proud graduate of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU), embodying the excellence and spirit of his alma mater in every professional endeavor; and WHEREAS, his life was anchored by his devotion to Jesus Christ, having joined his home church, Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Malone, Florida, and he lived a life of unselfish service to various civic and social organizations; and H. R. 1678 LC 112 3916 WHEREAS, he was a proud and active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., where he modeled the cardinal principles of manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift; and WHEREAS, though he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Keston Gilbert, his legacy …
