A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Emmaline Farnsworth; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, Emmaline Farnsworth has shown by the example of her accomplishments that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within reach of the students in this state; and WHEREAS, Emmaline is a resident of House District 60 and a superlative seventh grade student at Sutton Middle School; and WHEREAS, this gifted young scholar is bilingual in Spanish, participating in Atlanta Public School's dual language immersion program since kindergarten; and WHEREAS, Emmaline is a member of her school's varsity debate team, where she leads and inspires her teammates as a captain and has been recognized with numerous speaker awards from competitions through the Urban Debate League; and WHEREAS, a talented softball player and pitcher, Emmaline demonstrates the focus and time management skills required of student athletes, maintaining straight As while juggling school work with team practices and lessons; and H.
