A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Command Master Chief (SW/AW) Mickey Jones on the occasion of his military retirement; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, our nation's security relies on patriotic men and women who place themselves in harm's way to protect the freedoms cherished by all United States citizens; and WHEREAS, Command Master Chief (SW/AW) Mickey Jones, a native of Oglethorpe, Georgia, has honorably served for decades as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United States Navy, culminating in his final post as the Command Master Chief of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific; and WHEREAS, throughout his distinguished career, Command Master Chief Jones has carried out fleet assignments aboard the USS Orion, USS Hunley, USS O'Brien, USS Curtis Wilbur, USS Thach, USS Gary, USS Kitty Hawk, USS Essex, and USS Bonhomme Richard; and WHEREAS, he has further completed shore duty assignments at the Naval Leadership/Center for Personal and Professional Development in Kings Bay, Georgia, and Afloat Training Group Western Pacific in Yokosuka, Japan; and H.
