A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Daniel Campos; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, Daniel Campos is a first-generation college graduate and a dedicated community organizer with Poder Latinx; and WHEREAS, after earning his Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics from Georgia State University, Daniel has committed himself to empowering the Latino community through civic engagement and youth mobilization; and WHEREAS, Daniel Campos, a father of two, became involved in advocacy after experiencing the loss of his first son, Isaac, who passed away 20 days after birth; and WHEREAS, Daniel was a full-time worker, a part-time worker, and a full-time student at Georgia State University; without access to paid leave, his family faced significant economic and personal hardship during an already difficult period of grief; and WHEREAS, Daniel had to choose his job over the health of his wife and his own mental health; this experience highlighted the critical need for paid leave policies that allow families H.
