A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Dee Armstrong upon her induction into the Georgia Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, with an exemplary career spanning more than four decades of service as a news anchor in Columbus, Georgia, Dee Armstrong was recently inducted into the Georgia Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame; and WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of Broadcasters is composed of more than individuals who contribute to the general well-being of our state by informing the public and fostering insightful dialogue regarding the day's most pressing issues; and WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of Broadcasters, the nation's first and oldest broadcast association, works diligently to represent the interests of local Georgia radio and television licensees; and WHEREAS, these local radio and television broadcasters play a vital role in times of great struggle, including natural disasters and severe weather events, providing critical information and guidance to keep communities safe; and H. R. 2037 LC 112 4192 WHEREAS, through their roles as respected and trusted broadcasters, members of the Georgia Association of Broadcasters positively impact our state and local communities; and WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this exceptional individual be appropriately honored during this special time.
