A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the 2026 Heart of Community Award of Honor recipient Ghee Wilson; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, Ghee Wilson has served as a Special Agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation; and WHEREAS, Ghee has given his time and leadership to organizations that directly impact vulnerable populations with visible, hands-on community engagement; and WHEREAS, Ghee has served on the Floyd County Planning Commission; as Past President and Board Member of the Northwest Georgia Sexual Assault Center; as Past President of the Coosa Valley Fraternal Order of Police; as Board Member of the Community Criminal Justice Foundation; as Board Member of the Salvation Army; and as part of the 2017 SPLOST Citizens Advisory Committee; and WHEREAS, Ghee has participated in the Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge; 2025 Rome/Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth "Are You Smarter Than a 3rd Grader"; the Floyd Against Drugs Murder Mystery Dinner 2021-present; as the Grand H.
