A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Barbara Anna Barker; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens with the passing of Barbara Anna Barker; and WHEREAS, Barbara Anna Barker was born on April 4, 1942, a beloved daughter of Frances Newton and Jack Nesbit; and WHEREAS, a woman of deep and abiding faith, she was an active member of Hopewell Baptist Church for several decades, where she served diligently across numerous ministries and boards; and WHEREAS, she dedicated 22 years of professional service to working at Dr. Youngblood's dental office in downtown Norcross and later made history as the first Black female clerk for the City of Norcross, a position she held for 25 years; and WHEREAS, she was united in love and marriage to her husband, Frank, and was blessed with two remarkable sons, Zachary and Deshannon, as well as five wonderful grandchildren, Zachary, Zacheya, Zakye, Zakell, and Dayten; and H.
