A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the 2026 Heart of Community Award of Honor recipient Sarah Huffman; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, Sarah Huffman is a native of Rome who currently serves as the Assistant Director of Human Resources and Risk Management for the City of Rome; and WHEREAS, Sarah volunteers her time and energy to numerous civic projects, and her approach to service is hands-on, visionary, and deeply rooted in a belief that communities thrive when individuals step up to give their time and talent; and WHEREAS, Sarah demonstrates service to her community through her involvement as a Board member of Habitat for Humanity - Coosa Valley; The Davis Shelter; GB Federal Credit Union; and Leadership Rome, Rome Floyd Chamber of Commerce; and WHEREAS, Sarah has served as a Volunteer Judge for GNTC GOAL Awards since 2014; for the Darlington School Tech Competition; and the Rome City Schools Tech Competition; and H.
