A RESOLUTION Commending Alexandria Dilbeck, Chattooga County High School's 2026 STAR Student; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, a gifted student at Chattooga County High School, Alexandria Dilbeck has been recognized for superlative achievement and selected as Chattooga County High School's 2026 STAR Student; and WHEREAS, to be selected as a STAR Student, a student must have obtained the highest score in one administration of the three-part Scholastic Aptitude Test and be in the top percent or top ten students of his or her class; and WHEREAS, each school has one STAR Student who in turn has the opportunity to choose a STAR Teacher who has been inspiring and encouraging throughout that student's high school career; and WHEREAS, educator Julie Lane was chosen by Alexandria as Chattooga County High School's 2026 STAR Teacher for the great support and guidance provided throughout the years; and H. R. 2116 LC 129 1546 WHEREAS, Alexandria has personified the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal adroitness, and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance; and WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most important objective of the General Assembly, and Alexandria has shown by academic accomplishment that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of the students in this state; and WHEREAS, the State …
