A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Vicki Pilgrim for her outstanding service and contributions to the Georgia Golden Olympics and the National Senior Games Association; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, Vicki Pilgrim has devoted more than four decades of distinguished service to the promotion of health, wellness, and active aging through her leadership in the Georgia Golden Olympics and her work with the National Senior Games Association; and WHEREAS, she has served the Georgia Golden Games since its inception in 1980, playing a foundational role in building and sustaining a program that has positively impacted thousands of older adults across the state; and WHEREAS, for over 40 years, she has been instrumental in expanding opportunities for older adults across Georgia to remain active, engaged, and connected through athletic competition and community participation; and WHEREAS, she has provided national leadership through her service on the National Senior Games Association Board of Directors from 1996 through 2003 and again from 2016 through H. R. 2119 LC 112 4218 2021, including serving as Secretary from 1999 through 2002 and as Southeast Regional Coordinator; and WHEREAS, in 2017, during the 30th anniversary of the National Senior Games Association, she was selected as one of the "30 Champions of the Games," an honor recognizing individuals who made outstanding contributions to the creation, promotion, and growth of …
