A RESOLUTION Honoring the distinguished service and outstanding contributions of Senator Emanuel Jones; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, Senator Emanuel Jones, a dedicated public servant and respected business leader, has faithfully represented the citizens of Georgia's 10th Senate District since his election in 2004, serving the communities of Southwest DeKalb and Henry County with integrity, vision, and unwavering commitment; and WHEREAS, throughout his tenure in the Georgia State Senate, he has provided exemplary leadership as Secretary of the Senate Committees on Economic Development and Tourism and Interstate Cooperation, and he has further contributed his expertise as a member of the Committees on Appropriations, Banking and Financial Institutions, Natural Resources and the Environment, and Urban Affairs; and WHEREAS, his professional journey is marked by excellence and discipline, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Columbia University, and having honorably served his country as a commissioned officer in the United States Army Corps of Engineers, attaining the rank of Captain; and S.
