A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Larry Wayne Haney; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens with the passing of Larry Wayne Haney on March 22, 2026; and WHEREAS, Larry Wayne Haney was born on Aragon, Georgia, on July 1, 1952, a beloved son of Henry Haney and Lois Akins Haney; and WHEREAS, he was a lifelong resident of Rockmart, where he enjoyed a successful business career as owner and operator of Haney Farm & Ranch Supply, Haney Powersports, and Sidekicks Restaurant; and WHEREAS, he was a true cowboy who enjoyed all facets of rodeo life as well as a devoted family man who greatly cherished the time he spent with his family; and WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife, Elaine, and was blessed with two remarkable daughters, Shea and Alison; five wonderful grandchildren, Avery, Ty, Noah, Kayson, and Knox; and two outstanding great-grandchildren, Livi and Margo; and S.
