A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Goodie Mob for their outstanding contributions to music, culture, and social consciousness; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, the history of hip-hop is enriched by legendary artists and groups whose creativity and influence have shaped the culture; and WHEREAS, among these, few have demonstrated the innovation, insight, impact, and inspiration of the Atlanta based musical group known worldwide as Goodie Mob; and WHEREAS, Goodie Mob, consisting of Big Gipp, Cee Lo, Khujo, and T Mo, was formed in 1991 as a core member of the influential hip-hop collective known as the Dungeon Family, alongside notable artists including Outkast, Witchdoctor, Backbone, Big Rube, Cool Breeze, and P A, under the guidance of the acclaimed production team Organized Noize; and WHEREAS, under the musical direction of Organized Noize, Goodie Mob emerged as one of the first Southern hip-hop groups to achieve national recognition in the 1990s, helping to elevate Atlanta as a global center of musical excellence; and S.
