WHEREAS, Deaundra "Deedee" Metzger is a distinguished and award-winning hairstylist and department head in television and film whose creativity, excellence, and leadership have brought honor to the State of Georgia; and WHEREAS, she received the Outstanding Hairstyling Award at the 57th NAACP Image Awards for her exceptional work on the critically acclaimed series Reasonable Doubt, a testament to her remarkable talent and dedication to her craft; and WHEREAS, this recognition marks her second NAACP Image Award nomination, having previously been nominated for her outstanding work on the acclaimed film Till; and WHEREAS, in 2022, she was recognized as one of Variety's 10 Artisans to Watch, further solidifying her status as a rising and influential leader within the entertainment industry; and WHEREAS, as a department head, Ms. Metzger has demonstrated exemplary leadership, overseeing professional hair teams while ensuring continuity, artistic excellence, and authenticity in storytelling across television and film productions; and S.
