A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Raleigh James Rucker Jr.; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens with the passing of Raleigh James Rucker Jr. on June 13, 2026; and WHEREAS, Raleigh James Rucker Jr. was born on October 11, 1973, in Leesville, Louisiana, a beloved son of Norma Jean Davis and Raleigh J. Rucker Sr.; and WHEREAS, he served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United States Army, valiantly and courageously protecting his fellow Americans and retiring at the rank of first sergeant; and WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife, La'Nitra, and the strength, dedication, and kindness he demonstrated impacted the lives of his children in countless ways; and WHEREAS, Raleigh James Rucker Jr. gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens; and H.
