A RESOLUTION Recognizing and honoring the Morocco National Football Team for competing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, the people of the State of Georgia join millions of football supporters around the world in celebrating the remarkable achievement of the Morocco National Football Team, known as the Atlas Lions, in competing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup; and WHEREAS, the Kingdom of Morocco has established itself as one of the premier football nations in Africa and the Arab world, earning international acclaim through its commitment to athletic excellence, sportsmanship, and national pride; and WHEREAS, Morocco made history at the 2022 FIFA World Cup by becoming the first African and Arab nation to advance to the semifinals of the tournament, inspiring millions across Africa, the Middle East, and the global Moroccan diaspora and demonstrating the limitless potential of African football on the world stage; and WHEREAS, the Morocco National Football Team has become a source of immense pride and national unity throughout the Kingdom of Morocco and among Moroccan communities around the world, bringing together people of diverse backgrounds through a shared spirit H.
