A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Alex C. Habersham; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, for more than three decades, Alex C. Habersham has been a leading advocate for economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and community advancement throughout Middle Georgia, dedicating his life and career to expanding opportunities for African American businesses and strengthening the region's economic foundation; and WHEREAS, in 1991, Mr. Habersham founded the Macon-Middle Georgia Black Pages, a groundbreaking publication established to address the critical need for greater visibility, access, and opportunity for Black-owned businesses throughout Central Georgia; and WHEREAS, over the past 35 years, the Macon-Middle Georgia Black Pages has evolved into a trusted and respected regional resource, connecting residents, entrepreneurs, corporations, and community organizations while serving as a catalyst for economic growth and increased circulation of dollars within the African American community; and WHEREAS, through its consistent promotion of local businesses, the publication has helped countless entrepreneurs gain exposure, expand their customer base, achieve long-term sustainability, and contribute meaningfully to the economic vitality of the region; and H.
