HR0998LRB104 22612 LAW 39059 r HR0998 LRB104 22612 LAW 39059 r HR0998 LRB104 22612 LAW 39059 r HOUSE RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Reverend Betty Alexander-Bonds on the occasion of her 90th birthday on July 17, 2026; and WHEREAS, Betty Alexander-Bonds earned her bachelor's degree from the School of Free Salvation; and WHEREAS, Betty Alexander-Bonds, under the pastorate of Dr. Rev. Steven D. Lewis Sr., serves as an associate minister and is known as the Reverend Mother at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church in Dixmoor, where she has been a member for years; and WHEREAS, Betty Alexander-Bonds is the founder of the Hoyne Avenue Prayer Band in Dixmoor, and she is also an honorary member of the Harvey Park District Senior Advisory Board, the Evangelistic Board of Gospel Music Workshop of America, and the Chicago Chapter of Gospel Music Workshop of America; and WHEREAS, Betty Alexander-Bonds is the loving mother of seven children and one godchild, the grandmother of grandchildren and 1 bonus grandchild, the great-grandmother of 45 great-grandchildren, and the great-great-grandmother of HR0998- 2 -LRB104 22612 LAW 39059 r HR0998 - 2 - LRB104 22612 LAW 39059 r HR0998 - 2 - LRB104 22612 LAW 39059 r great-great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Betty Alexander-Bonds has served as a model of hard work, integrity, …
