HR1028LRB104 23226 RMO 39696 r HR1028 LRB104 23226 RMO 39696 r HR1028 LRB104 23226 RMO 39696 r HOUSE RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Elder Micheal Williams, who passed away on September 5, 2026; and WHEREAS, Micheal Williams, the son of Mary Louise Williams, Charlie P. Williams, and Lee Moore, was born on June 20, 1950; he committed to his faith at an early age at New Morning Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Hightower; he attended Manual High School in Peoria until leaving to pursue full-time work and was proud to earn his GED with the highest scores in class in 1998; he married Deborah "Tina" Williams early in life, and they remained friends after their marriage ended; he later married Hazel Williams, his life partner of 45 years; and WHEREAS, Micheal Williams dedicated 30 years of service to Caterpillar Inc., retiring in 1999; he remained active in retirement and worked for Carquest Auto Parts until its closure in 2014; he then served as a crossing guard for Peoria Public Schools, earning several awards and holding the position until his passing; and WHEREAS, Micheal Williams was ordained in the 1970s and returned to the ministry in the early 2000s; he served as HR1028- 2 -LRB104 …
