Whereas, State Representative Mike Karickhoff has faithfully served the citizens of Indiana since his election to the Indiana House of Representatives in 2010, representing House District 30, which includes portions of Grant and Howard counties; Whereas, Throughout his tenure, Representative Karickhoff has demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to public service, currently serving as Speaker Pro Tempore of the Indiana House of Representatives, providing steady guidance to his colleagues and the legislative process; Whereas, Representative Karickhoff has served with distinction on numerous legislative committees, including Natural Resources, Government and Regulatory Reform, Rules HR 1535/DI 140 2026 and Legislative Procedures, and a decade on Ways and Means, contributing thoughtful, principled leadership on issues critical to the State of Indiana; Whereas, Before and alongside his legislative service, Representative Karickhoff has been deeply engaged in civic and community leadership, including service on the Kokomo Common Council from 2004 to 2010, serving as president and finance chairman, and participating in numerous local and regional organizations dedicated to economic development, philanthropy, youth mentorship, and public well-being; Whereas, Representative Karickhoff's lifelong commitment to service has been recognized through numerous honors and awards, including multiple "Legislator of the Year" recognitions, the Sagamore of the Wabash, awarded by Governors Mike …
