*HR1551* Introduced Version HOUSE RESOLUTION No. ___ Introduced by: Novak ____________________________________ A HOUSE RESOLUTION honoring Representative Pat Boy. Whereas, Representative Pat Boy, who began her representation of House District 9 on November 6, 2018, retired from office on October 17, 2025; Whereas, Prior to her service in the Indiana General Assembly, Representative Boy served on the Michigan City Common Council faithfully for nearly 15 years. Representative Boy's retirement from the Indiana House of Representatives is the finale to a cumulative 22 years of dutiful public service; Whereas, Representative Boy served her community with pride as a union worker, small business owner, and public servant. Through the partnership of her late husband, Dennis HR 1551/DI 140 2026 Boy, they established a local business offering 24-hour secretarial and data management for over 30 years; Whereas, Representative Boy's spirit is exemplified by her tireless volunteer work alongside environmental advocates such as Duneland Dems, Indiana Conservation Voters, and Save the Dunes. After successful advocacy on behalf of the wetlands in Northwest Indiana, her neighbors and friends encouraged her to run for the Indiana District 9 seat.
