GOODE , read first time and referred to Committee on 2026 RR 3509/DI JR Introduced Second Regular Session 124th General Assembly (2026) SENATE RESOLUTION ____ MR. PRESIDENT: I offer the following resolution and move its adoption: A SENATE RESOLUTION recognizing National Engineers Week. Whereas, National Engineers Week, celebrated annually in February, highlights the meaningful contributions engineers make to our communities, economy, and quality of life; Whereas, The theme of National Engineers Week, which celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2026, emphasizes innovation, problem-solving, and service to society, which are values that align with Indiana's consulting engineers working in transportation, energy, water resources, and infrastructure; Whereas, The American Council of Engineering Companies of Indiana (ACEC Indiana) represents consulting firms across the state that design, build, and maintain the critical systems and structures that keep Indiana moving forward; Whereas, For more than 20 years, as part of National Engineers week, ACEC Indiana and its member firms have participated in classroom visits and educational outreach throughout the state to introduce students to the engineering profession, encourage STEM education, and inspire young 2026 RR 3509/DI JR Hoosiers to pursue careers in civil engineering, civil construction, and related fields; and Whereas, These volunteer efforts demonstrate the commitment of Indiana's …
