Introduced Version SENATE RESOLUTION No. ___ DIGEST OF INTRODUCED RESOLUTION A SENATE RESOLUTION honoring Senator Eric Bassler upon his retirement from the Indiana Senate. BROWN , read first time and referred to Committee on 2026 RR 3519/DI JR Introduced Second Regular Session 124th General Assembly (2026) SENATE RESOLUTION ____ MR. PRESIDENT: I offer the following resolution and move its adoption: A SENATE RESOLUTION honoring Senator Eric Bassler upon his retirement from the Indiana Senate. Whereas, Senator Eric Bassler has faithfully and honorably served the constituents of Senate District 39, encompassing Daviess, Greene, Knox, and Martin counties and portions of Owen and Sullivan counties, since he was elected in 2014; Whereas, During his tenure, Senator Bassler has served as chairman of the Senate Committees on Ethics, Insurance, and the Senate Subcommittee on School Funding, as well as a member on the Senate Committees on Appropriations, Rules and Legislative Procedure, and Environmental Affairs; Whereas, Outside of being a legislator, Senator Bassler is a financial advisor, having had international experience in business development previously, has served as an adjunct professor of economics at Indiana University Northwest, and owns Scoops Homemade Ice Cream Shop and Cherry Ghost coffee shop in Washington, Indiana; Whereas, Senator Bassler previously served on the City of Washington Common Council and the City of Washington 2026 RR 3519/DI JR Board …
