BRAY , read first time and referred to Committee on 2026 RR 3534/DI JR Introduced Second Regular Session 124th General Assembly (2026) SENATE RESOLUTION ____ MR. PRESIDENT: I offer the following resolution and move its adoption: A SENATE RESOLUTION recognizing the Alaska Christian Church on their 190th anniversary. Whereas, Nestled in the hills of Morgan and Owen counties is the quiet unincorporated town of Alaska, Indiana, where early Hoosier settlers sought to establish a place of worship; Whereas, In the early nineteenth century, the Alaska Christian Church was established as a friendly Christian community, welcoming all to worship and serve; and Whereas, A testament to the lasting impact it has made on the community, the Alaska Christian Church has now been a foundation of Morgan and Owen counties for 190 years: Therefore, Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana: SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate congratulates the Alaska Christian Church on the occasion of their 190th anniversary. 2026 RR 3534/DI JR SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit copies of this Resolution to the Alaska Christian Church. 2026 RR 3534/DI JR
