TAYLOR G , read first time and referred to Committee on 2026 DR 3859/DI aj Introduced Second Regular Session 124th General Assembly (2026) SENATE RESOLUTION ____ MR. PRESIDENT: I offer the following resolution and move its adoption: A SENATE RESOLUTION congratulating Marian University on its 175th anniversary. Whereas, Marian University was founded by the Sisters of St. Francis of Oldenburg and for generations has provided mission driven, high quality Catholic higher education in Indiana; Whereas, Marian University's vision and mission emphasize preparing transformative leaders for service to the world and advancing excellence in teaching, learning, research, and scholarly activity in the Franciscan and liberal arts tradition; Whereas, Marian University has contributed to the state through distinctive signature programs, workforce development, community health initiatives, and K-12 outreach; Whereas, Marian University has demonstrated sustained enrollment growth, a strong record of research and grant activity, a commitment to expanding access for students across Indiana through graduate and online programs, and ongoing community engagement that strengthens neighborhoods and the 2026 DR 3859/DI aj state's workforce; and Whereas, Marian's 175th anniversary is an occasion to honor the Sisters of St. Francis of Oldenburg and to celebrate the leadership, faculty, staff, students, and alumni whose service …
