POL , read first time and referred to Committee on 2026 DR 3856/DI ol Introduced Second Regular Session 124th General Assembly (2026) SENATE RESOLUTION ____ MR. PRESIDENT: I offer the following resolution and move its adoption: A SENATE RESOLUTION recognizing the Town of Chesterton for its renovated town hall and fire station. Whereas, The recently renovated Chesterton town hall and fire station opened on Monday, January 26, 2026; Whereas, The seat of the Town of Chesterton municipal government has been expanded and modernized to provide a significantly more comfortable fire station, ensuring that firefighters are able to do their job safely and effectively; Whereas, This investment will allow the fire department to continue their training and aid the expansion of training opportunities for the community, including CPR and first-aid; Whereas, This project centers on serving the community for years, with a significant increase of the room capacity from to 112; Whereas, This project provides a more efficient and accommodating work space for the members who work there to serve the community better; 2026 DR 3856/DI ol Whereas, This improvement includes a new training space, an upgraded alert system, leadership offices, new restrooms, a well …
