A BILL FOR An Act appropriating moneys to the department of health and human services for the statewide child care solutions fund program. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: TLSB 5507YH (5) dg/ko H.F. 2107 Section 1. STATEWIDE CHILD CARE SOLUTIONS FUND PROGRAM. There is appropriated from the general fund of the state to the department of health and human services for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027, the following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the purposes designated: To administer, and provide matching moneys through, the statewide child care solutions fund program: .................................................. $ 2,500,000 EXPLANATION The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly. The statewide child care solutions fund program (program) was created to help make child care more available by seeking private contributions to invest in child care across the state, and matching private contributions with state moneys. This bill appropriates $2.5 million to the department of health and human services for FY 2026-2027 to administer, and provide matching moneys through, the program. LSB 5507YH (5) -1- dg/ko 1/1
