A BILL FOR An Act modifying provisions related to the Iowa tuition grants program and including effective date provisions. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: TLSB 5475YH (6) jda/jh H.F. 2236 Section 1. Section 84A.1B, subsection 5, paragraph b, Code 2026, is amended to read as follows: b. Educational attainment of a qualifying credential of at least a bachelor's degree, or attainment of an initial or intern Iowa teaching license issued under chapter 256 through a pathway to licensure offered by an institution of higher education under the control of the state board of regents or an accredited private institution as defined in section 256.183, Code 2026. Sec. 2. Section 139A.8B, subsection 2, paragraph b, Code 2026, is amended to read as follows: b. "Postsecondary school" means a postsecondary institution under the control of the state board of regents, a community college established under chapter 260C, or an accredited private institution as defined in section 256.183, Code 2026. Sec. 3. Section 256.7, subsection 22, Code 2026, is amended to read as follows: 22.
