A BILL FOR An Act relating to the housing renewal pilot program, including repayments of interest and income, and recaptures or returns of financial assistance awards. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: TLSB 6090YH (2) nls/ko H.F. 2559 Section 1. 2022 Iowa Acts, chapter 1148, section 20, subsection 2, as amended by 2023 Iowa Acts, chapter 110, section 18, is amended to read as follows: 2. a. A housing renewal program fund is created in the state treasury under the control of the Iowa finance authority. The fund shall consist of moneys appropriated to or deposited in the fund. Moneys in the fund are appropriated to the Iowa finance authority to establish and administer a housing renewal pilot program. b. For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2023, there is appropriated from the general fund of the state to the Iowa finance authority five hundred thousand dollars for deposit in the housing renewal program fund. c. Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated in this section that remain unencumbered or unobligated at the close of the fiscal year shall not revert but shall remain available for expenditure for the purposes designated until the close of the succeeding fiscal year. d.
