A BILL FOR An Act relating to voter registration forms at locations of hunting, fishing, and trapping license agents. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: TLSB 6784XS (2) ss/ns S.F. 2130 Section 1. Section 483A.12, Code 2026, is amended by adding the following new subsection: NEW SUBSECTION. 3. A license agent shall display and make available to the public voter registration forms, as defined in section 48A.2, at each location where the license agent sells licenses. The license agent shall offer a voter registration form to each person purchasing a license, but shall not assist the person in completing the voter registration form or collect a complete or incomplete voter registration form. A license agent is not a voter registration agency as defined in section 48A.2. EXPLANATION The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly. This bill requires a license agent, defined as an individual, business, or governmental agency authorized to sell a license to fish, hunt, fur harvest, pursue, catch, kill, take in any manner, use, have possession of, sell, or transport all or part of a wild animal, bird, game, or fish, to display and make available to the public voter registration forms at each location where the license agent …
