A Resolution congratulating Ms. Amanda Ostrem for her reign as the 2025 Iowa Pork Queen. WHEREAS, during the January 2025 Iowa Pork Congress, Ms. Ostrem was coronated as the Iowa Pork Queen; and WHEREAS, Ms. Ostrem, daughter of Jared and Janie Ostrem of Stanhope, Iowa, grew up as part of a farm family involved in pork production; and WHEREAS, Ms. Ostrem is distinguished by her participation in agriculture-related activities including 4-H club while attending South Hamilton High School; and WHEREAS, Ms. Ostrem is pursuing a career in agriculture, attending Iowa State University, and majoring in agricultural business; and WHEREAS, Ms. Ostrem has been an advocate for agriculture as part of the Iowa Pork Producers Youth Leadership Team; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, That the House of Representatives extends its congratulations to Ms. Ostrem for her reign as the 2025 Iowa Pork Queen and thanks her for serving Iowa as a goodwill ambassador for the pork industry; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That upon adoption, an official copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation to Ms. Ostrem.
