A RESOLUTION recognizing March 19, 2026, as Random Acts of Cody Kindness Day in Kentucky, in honor of Cody Reeves Gollihue. WHEREAS, Cody Reeves Gollihue was born in Morehead, Kentucky, on March 19, 1996, to Elliott and Lea Ann Reeves-Gollihue; and WHEREAS, Cody possessed a unique quality to draw people in with his magnetic smile, and from an early age he was a friend to everyone; and WHEREAS, Cody went out of his way to extend kindness to friends and complete strangers, believing that we are all created in God's image and should always be kind to one another; and WHEREAS, Cody, along with his younger sister, Ellie, worked as a dynamic duo to plot ways in which to toss kindness into the world, including to animals, children, and the elderly; and WHEREAS, Cody believed it would only take one act of kindness to create a chain reaction and turn the world into a kinder place; and WHEREAS, after Cody passed away on May 26, 2017, his family, friends, and community rallied to create Random Acts of Cody Kindness (RACK); and WHEREAS, RACK was officially launched on May 30, 2017, and has since become a global kindness movement that has been shared across social media platforms; and WHEREAS, RACK empowers Cody's family, friends, and people across the world to perform …
